CENTERVILLE, MO, OCTOBER 4, 2009 — The Taum Sauk Fund Board will hold a public meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Reynolds County Courthouse, Highway 21, Centerville, MO.
At this meeting, the Taum Sauk Fund Board will hear reports from members, staff and Committee Chairpersons regarding operations, finances, and grant-related activities. Topics for discussion and possible action at this meeting may include:
¨ progress on projects that received grant funding in the 2008 grant cycle,
¨ progress on reviews of grant applications received during the 2009 grant cycle,
¨ progress on interviews with prospective candidates for the tourism/economic development coordinator position,
¨ benefits/holidays for new employee, and
¨ progress on efforts to select and award contract to investment advisor.
Other topics may be discussed. The public is invited to attend. The Board may go into closed session at this meeting.
Future regular meetings of the Board are scheduled for November 19, December 17, 2009, and January 21, 2010.

BACKGROUND:
Established in February 2008, The Taum Sauk Fund, Inc. is a Missouri Nonprofit Corporation whose purpose is to engage in, fund, carry on, conduct or take part in programs projects and services designed to improve, protect and/or restore tourism and economic development in the areas of Missouri affected by the December 2005 breach of the Taum Sauk Reservoir.
